Kiola
It's a sleepy seaside town that brings back childhood memories of family summer road trips to the caravan park, complete with the Merry Beach General Store and their paper bag lolly bags and fish and chips.
For stunning views of the coastline, head out along the Snapper Point Walking Track. To find it park at the end of Merry Beach Road and walk along the beach, past the caravan park to the hilly lush section with the signs to the track.
Soak in the panoramic views and keep a lookout for the hoppy locals and sea eagles in the sky.The walk leads along to Pretty Beach, with viewpoints and tracks that lead off the main way.
Pretty Beach
The leafy beach is home to a colony of kangaroos, creating that quintessential "Aussie" snapshot of roos on the beach. There are plenty of park benches available, ideal for a picnic with a view.
You can park and walk the Snapper Point Walking Track from Pretty Beach, leading back out to Kiola. The track is easy with a moderate level of fitness required. Not recommended for small children due to the unfenced cliff edges.
