Come along for part two of my scenic Eurobodalla road trip. In part two we continue along the Princes highway heading further south to Bingie, Tuross Heads, Narooma and Mystery Bay. A journey full of wildlife, a pub with a million dollar view and a beach of mystery, perfect for a secluded dip in the ocean.

Bingie

Located about 15minutes outside of Moruya, Bingie is an outdoor enthusiast wildlife playground. There are many accommodation options of cabins and caravans available in Moruya, but if you want to really get out and experience it, try one of the many camping options in the area.

For a secluded and authentic camping adventure, check out Bingie Campground through YouCamp. Secluded amongst a gum tree forest, this is bush camping as it should be. Be prepared for visits from the locals including kangaroos, wallaby’s, echidnas and many native birds.

Take a walk on the wild side

A two minute drive down the road leads you to the Eurobodalla National park, home to the Bingi Dreaming Track and Bingie Bingie Point. The tracks are relatively easy and a great way to get amongst the sea and land. The beaches are postcard perfect, without the crowds of towels and umbrellas to find your own piece of paradise. Keep your eyes on the sky to find sea eagles that can often be found nesting in the surrounding trees.

Tuross Heads

A home away from home to many out of towners seeking a seaside escape, the township of Tuross Heads is a great spot to stop by, stretch the legs and if you’re feeling peckish to indulge in a fresh feed of fish and chips from the take away shop.

There are plenty of holiday home rentals to choose from, a handful of restaurants to dine at, and kilometres of beach to wonder and explore along.

Narooma

The bustling fishing town of Narooma is approximately one hour south from Batemans Bay and is a must visit for anyone who has an appetite for oysters, untouched beaches and island wilderness adventures!

Before you head over the iconic Narooma Bridge, take a sharp left to the aqua painted boatshed also known as Narooma Bridge Seafoods. Here you will be able to sample some of the region’s freshest catches of the day as well as shellfish and of course oysters.

They aren’t telling any tall tales when O’Brien’s Hotel proudly boasts “ The Million Dollar View” on their surrounding signage. Take a seat out the back on the balcony section and soak in the views of the turquoise harbor, as paddleboarders make their way around the shore and fishermen come back to the marina with their nets of freshly caught fish. It is everything you want in a country pub, full of locals downing a pint with a menu of hearty pub grub favourites.

Be prepared to fight off the overly friendly and always hungry seagulls who will fight you for that last golden fry!If you’re staying in town, make the time to take a tour out to Montague Island where you can visit a colony of seals, a bonus during the whale watching seasons where you catch more than a glimpse of tails and fins!

Mystery Bay

Keep on driving ten minutes down the road and explore the serene surrounds of Mystery Bay. A popular beach of choice by families, it is full of sheltered watering spots to take a dip and rockpools to go exploring in. Check out AirBnB for holiday rentals in the area as well as the beachside campsite which is gets very busy during the peak summer and holiday periods.
